So denn, es gibt was zu gewinnen und es wird nostalgisch. Seit einigen Wochen können nun auch Spotify-User direkt über die Fellody-App in Spotify ihre Playlisten matchen und so ihr musikalisches Soulmate finden.

Diese Woche stellen uns die Kollegen von Spotify auf ihren Blog vor und zu diesem Anlass gibt’s was zu gewinnen.

Wie kann ich gewinnen?

Jeder Spotify-User mit einem Fellody-Namen kann am Gewinnspiel teilnehmen. Schick uns einfach deinen Fellody-Nicknamen an mail@fellody.com. Vielleicht gehört du schon bald zu den Glücklichen, die dann ihre eigene Playlist scratchen können.

Teilnahmebedingungen: Teilnahmeberechtigt ist jeder, der seinen aktuellen Wohnsitz in Deutschland hat. Mitarbeiter von Fellody.com oder der kooperierenden Firmen sowie deren Verwandte sind von der Teilnahme ausgeschlossen. Der Teilnehmer muss eine der oben genannten Aktionen ausführen. These were some rough weeks, but Frederik and Karsten have developed an amazing app which went online with the German Spotify-Launch last tuesday (13.03.2012). You can now search for the app with the Spotify app-finder and register directly or login with your existing fellody username.

The best part about the app is that you can now listen in great Spotify-quality to what other users like. This feature ads more music to the social component of fellody.

Zurich/Berlin, 09.02.2012 – If the jury of this year’s Grammy Awards only consisted of men, US pop star Katy Perry would have by far the best chances of winning the most important award in the industry. Music flirting website Fellody (www.fellody.com) asked its users which Grammy nominee is the hottest?

Men can’t get enough of Katy Perry

According to the votes of all male respondents, Katy Perry was light years ahead of her competitors and thus the hottest female Grammy nominee 2012. With songs like ‘I kissed a girl’ and her on-stage kiss with a fan, newly single Perry definitely knows how to use her musical persuasiveness. The result: Three out of four of her admirers said they would not hesitate to sleep with her. When it comes to sex appeal, she clearly triumphs over her Grammy rivals Taylor Swift (second place) and Beyoncé (third place). Power voice Adele, who is still the most promising nominee for several Grammys, might be musically convincing, but ends up 7^th place with the men in the sex appeal ranking. Another singer with apparently next to no sexiness is soul queen Kelly Price, who ended up at the bottom of the ranking.

Sexy bodies of Jay-Z, Kanye West & Co. leave women cold

Anyone believing that women are turned on by the flexed bodies of R’n’B- and HipHop Stars seems to be on the wrong track. Kanye West, Jay-Z (both 7^th place) and Chris Brown (6^th place) have virtually no fans on the female side. Only worse off is star DJ David Guetta, who takes last position. Apparently, pop music singers with loud guitars are much more popular with the opposite sex. Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon and shooting star Bruno Mars share the top position in the attractiveness ranking. Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl and Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, are closely behind in third and fourth position.

Zurich/Berlin, 01.02.2012 – If you’re single and you don’t want to spend Valentines-Day alone you better grab a guitar and train your voice: Singers and Guitar-Heroes are voted most sexy band members in a recent fellody-survey with more than 500 participants.

Singers are hot, Keyboarders not

The front man is the sex symbol in every band. Almost every second woman (40%) says that the man on the mic hast he biggest sex appeal, followed by guitar players with 20%. Keyboarders, however, are the biggest turn-off with just one percent of all votes and rank probably close to Lemmy from Motörhead. Also men like strong women on the mic: 37% of all male voters think that female singers are hot and almost 25% prefer a lady on the guitar.

Hip-Hop Ladies rank highest

Music is always a topic to talk about on first dates. But asking about someone’s taste in music isn’t as harmless as we might think: If a woman wants to make a good impression she should officially listen to Hip-Hop/RnB or at least some Indie/Alternative. Both genres got 16% of all male votes for most sexy genre. Punk (5%) and classic (4%) however are the absolute turn-offs. Men can increase their sex appeal by officially listening to Rock & Electro (now that’s a surprise) but also Hip-Hop and Pop-lovers are alright with 15% of all female votes each. But men should avoid naming Scooter or 90s techno if they want a second date.

We hate to brag about our site (ok, that’s a lie), but we’ve made a big step yesterday: Fellody is introducing premium accounts with a whole lot of new features and the best thing is, everything you’ve seen so far stays free. Now what about that? And even better, we’ve decided to give everybody free premium membership until February 10th.

So what’s new? Well, there’s for example the new “see your profile visitors” box. You can now see who has been checking you out and in addition we added a statistics tool that shows you how many mails, flirts and whatnot you sent or received on fellody.

And then there’s unlimited messages and flirts, more pictures you can upload, better ranking, more fun and so on. Here’s a list of all features.

UPDATE YOUR STATUS: You can now write status posts and share them with your groupies or with the whole community. You’ll see the new message window when you click on the HOME Button. In addition, you can choose if you want to see only groupie-updates or updates from the entire community!

SHARE MUSIC & VIDEO: That’s not enough? Alright, this is really cool: You can also share songs and music with your groupies or the entire community. When you post a status update you’ll see the little “+ ADD VIDEO” and “+ ADD SONG” under the message window. Simply copy/paste a link to your favorite Vimeo/Youtube Video or Soundcloud-Song and share it. Yes, that easy.

SEND VIDEOS & MUSIC: What, even more? Yes, you can also SEND your video or song along with our message-system. When you send a message to somebody on fellody you can attach a video- or song-link the same way described above: There’s a small  “+ ADD VIDEO” and “+ ADD SONG” under the message window. So click, paste and send!

Now THIS is good news: From now on members of fellody have a third option for getting their music analyzed: simply by connecting to their existing last.fm account. With a simple two-click connection during the registration process on fellody.com, last.fm members get their taste in music analyzed and fellody displays matches who share their musical interests. So for everybody who’s not using iTunes or Windows Media Player this is the way to go!
